Schull – Le Guilvinec Twinning National School Exchange
The local twinning group and the whole community are delighted to welcome 11 French primary school children and 8 adults to Schull, arriving on Saturday April 9th for one week. The French families will be hosted by local families in Schull, and the visiting children will attend Schull national school from Monday to Friday.
We have a full action-packed week’s activities lined up for our guests, including separate activities for the adults in the mornings. As usual the residents of Schull community have embraced this joint venture with generosity and enthusiasm!
We would welcome everybody to join in our Gathering Celebration at the Schull Harbour Hotel on Sunday afternoon April 10th at 3pm! Finger food and refreshments!
Local folklore, song and dance! Local musicians Derry & Fidelma Kennedy and many more! Breton song and dance performances also. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy our multicultural event!
Le Guilvinec in Brittany is a thriving fishing port and also enjoys seasonal tourism similar to Schull. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the company of our Breton neighbours and to brush up on our parlez-vous francais !!
