Peter Mackey

Ilse Jacobsen

The Sartorialist in Schull?
Not quite, but this visitor was kind enough to answer a few questions!

  1. He is in Schull supplying Pebbles with new Ilse Jacobsen stock.
  2. His favourite view is one as you come over the hill into Ballydehob and you see Roaring Water Bay spread out in front of you, with Dusty Springfield’s Son of a Preacher Man playing.
  3. If he had a couple of hours free he would sit outside Hackett’s and have a pint, not of the black stuff though!
  4. He wanted to be truck driver when he was 5, but is happy with the sleek black branded van he is driving now!

Thank you Peter Mackey from Kildare, do come back again sometime!

What is it about Schull and the Mizen that attracts people here?  Who are the people who populate this quirky little village on the edge of Europe?  Why do they come?  How do they find us?  What do they DO?

Here they tell their stories, responding to the same questions they all have very different answers.
